It has been impossible to find a workiong link to a 20 or 40 gb working link that i can definetly use to replace it

What do you mean by that? Did you use the search function on this board to find what you're looking for?
This is probably also your post:

I typed "hard drive" to search this board through the search function and found quite a few useful topics. From 80 - 100 GB drives over 4200 to 5200 RPM comparison. I bet you can do the same. Wink

Besides that I believe just about any laptop hd will fit in your recorder if it's a 2.5'' drive. You could also check the documentation-section of this board. The link to funmp3players.com shows how to upgrade your hd and recommends a 20 GB drive for doing so (I used the same drive too to upgrade my player).

does that mean that there is no link?

..that meant that you could've easily found a link by yourself if you invested 5 minutes to search this board. But since Evil Dogs was so nice to do the hard job of typing "hd 2.5 -usb -firewire -ext" at froogle.com for you, I believe you got what you want. Laughing
